Global Learning and Education at �鶹��Ƶ and Beyond

Thank you to the alumnae/i, students, staff, and faculty panelists who helped virtually convene the 2024 International Forum in March! Attendees registered from a dozen countries and across seven decades—from the Classes of 1951–2024. Two complementary panel discussions focused on the understanding that 21st century knowledge must come from global dialogue, and on the different modalities and spaces where learning happens. Alumnae/i, faculty, and student panelists shared reflections on their transformative international education experiences, on how globalization is impacting education at regional and local levels, and on a central consideration about what can be accomplished together that cannot be accomplished alone.

Participants in Ghana — Chair and Term Professor in the �鶹��Ƶ/Haverford Education Department and Associate Dean for Global Engagement Alice Lesnick discussed the Laɣim Tehi Tuma “Thinking Together” internship program. The 360-inspired program invites students from �鶹��Ƶ, Haverford, Lincoln University and the University for Development Studies in Ghana to think together with the mission to co-create education centered by Black studies that forwards just and thriving futures.
