Beyond the Book: Black Campus Life
Join us and BMC faculty and staff in a discussion of "Black Campus Life" by Antar A. Tichavakunda this month. An in-depth ethnography of Black engineering students at a historically White institution, Black Campus Life examines the intersection of two crises, up close: the limited number of college graduates in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, and the state of race relations in higher education. Tichavakunda takes readers across campus, from study groups to parties and beyond.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
