As the assistant director for the STEM in the Liberal Arts program, Kelsey Obringer oversees the day-to-day operations of the program. Her work with first-generation, limited-income students started at the University of Delaware, where she managed the Ronald E. McNair Scholars program, a federally funded TRIO program that provided mentorship and undergraduate research opportunities to for first-generation, limited-income, underrepresented students. While at Delaware, she also taught courses in the political science department and worked with the Office of Undergraduate Research.

Kelsey Obringer received a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware, where she studied food politics, political engagement, and embodiment.
